The indianes from MTIB at MUHBA
On May 18th, MUHBA (Museu d'Història de Barcelona) opened a new exhibition with pieces from the Museu Tèxtil i d’Indumentària de Barcelona. The show, called Indianes. 1736-1847. Els Orígens de la Barcelona industrial, is located at the Saló del Tinell (in the Plaça del Rei, Barcelona) and runs until December 16th.
The exhibition details the origins of Barcelona's industrial development and includes 124 original works of which the DHUB loaned four, one of which is a star piece: a stamped cotton dress donated by Manuel Dargallo Raventós.
There are a series of organized activities including tours, conferences, workshops and urban itineraries dedicted to the exhibition.
We'd like to invite you to come and enjoy the colour and diversity that these fabrics offer.
