Ever since it was founded in Barcelona in 1993, Index Book has specialised in publishing books on design and visual creativity. One of its most prestigious and acclaimed publications is the Spanish graphic design yearbook, Graphic Design from Spain, a must-have for monitoring the most innovative projects designed in Spain year after year.

In keeping with this publishing line, Index Book has chosen 2010 as the launch date for a new yearbook – Selected: Graphic Design from Europe, a work which reflects the most innovative offerings in contemporary European design, billed to become a yardstick in the sector.

The prominent design celebrities who participated in selecting the content featured in this publication now come together to present a cycle of conferences and workshops. This event, entitled Selected: Graphic Design from Europe, will take place in Barcelona on 12 and 13 March and will include conferences by Joakim Borgström, creative director of the Dutch studio, Wieden+Kennedy, Björn Kusoffsky, co-founder of the Stockholm Design Lab and Eduardo del Fraile, among others, in addition to workshops on typography and/or creativity.

Running parallel to these events, for which entry is by ticket purchase, a number of admission-free activities will be available to all participants enrolled in the programme.
